Setting Hostname(Computer Name) in Linux (RedHat)

Edit the following files with vi

1.

           /etc/hosts

# Do not remove the following line, or various programs

# that require network functionality will fail.

127.0.0.1    localhost.localdomain localhost

192.168.0.20    sohail.bom.labs.net

2.

          /etc/sysconfig/network

NETWORKING=yes

HOSTNAME=sohail.bom.labs.net
